PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record a high-quality still image by controlling so as to fix a curved part when recording the still image while recording a moving image signal, and to improve measuring accuracy. SOLUTION: The endoscope device 1 of this invention has a CPU15 for controlling a whole body. This CPU15 fixes and holds the curved part 3b in a prescribed curved shape by turning a prescribed bending operation wire 7A into a state having a looseness-free tension by stopping and controlling the driving of a bending drive part 14 by an angle control part 13 when recording the still image while recording the image data acquired by a CCD6 during observation in a recording part 12 as a moving image.
