PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panoramic imaging device, in which a panoramic image needs to be taken only once along a desired sectional surface along a tooth line of a patient to display images of inner structure of the tooth line with the optimum focal point as desired in accordance with the positions using obtained image data. SOLUTION: This panoramic imaging device is provided with an X-ray source 31, and a detector 32 to output electric signals of digital quantity corresponding to an incidental X-ray at a specific frame rate. The device is also provided with a means 24 to move the pair of the X-ray source and the detector around the patient as they face each other through the patient, a means 54 to store output signals of the detector in order as frame data, a means 56 to generate panoramic images of a desired cross section based on the frame data, and means 56, 57, and 58 to generate a partial sectional image with the focal point set to a desired position in an imaging space in a designated partial range of the panoramic image along the desired cross section based on the frame data.
