PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article falling prevention device in an article shelf which does not easily cause play or the like in the state of being locked to a locking hole and preventing the end part of an article falling prevention material from being easily detached from the locking hole when taking out an article abutted to the falling prevention material. SOLUTION: The plurality of locking holes 20a arranged in a vertical direction are provided on a front part and a back part in the left and right side members of the article shelf, and a shelf plate 4 can be disposed by locking a shelf receiving material 7 to the locking hole 20a. Also, the article falling prevention material 50 composed of a rod material having the horizontal part 51 of the almost same width as a part between the front and back locking holes 20a 20a and locking parts 52, 52 formed on both end sides of the horizontal part 51 can be locked. The locking part 52 is composed of a connection part 53 extended from the end part of the horizontal part 51 to the depth direction of the locking hole 20a and a hook-like part 54 in an upward hook shape extended from the lower end of the connection part 52.
