PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize a pneumatic tire having superior steering stability and good durability of an equivalent level or an exceeding level as compared with a case using a rayon fiber cord, by using a polyolefine ketone fiber cord. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire is made from a polyolefine ketone fiber expressed by a formula;-(CH<SB>2</SB>-CH<SB>2</SB>-CO)n-(R-CO-)m-, and has one ply or more of a carcass layers including a twist cord having a thermal shrinking stress of not less than 0.19cN/dtex at dry heat 150°C, wherein a rate R(=N2/N1) of a first twist multiplier N1 and a final twist multiplier N2 is 1.20≤R≤1.70, and having the final twist multiplier N2 of 1600 to 2300. In the formula, the relationship between n and m is expressed by a formula; 1.05≥(n+m)/n≥1.00, and R is an alkylene group having 3 or more carbon numbers. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
