<p>In an ink jet printer in which a selected a number of subdroplet volumes are ejected at a selected series of timings in a packet to form a droplet of the desired size on the substrate, an estimate of droplet placement error is derived and the position of the series of subdroplets in the packet is varied in correction of the droplet placement error.</p> |
