<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup corresponding to disks of a plurality of kinds of which the cost is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A blue laser beam emitted from a LD1 for BD is made parallel light by a collimator lens 9, and is made incident on an objective lens for BD with parallel light.
