摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for suppressing degradation of power generation performance in operation in a low humidification condition while improving a gas diffusion property of a catalyst layer. <P>SOLUTION: This membrane-electrode assembly for a fuel cell includes: a polymer electrolyte membrane; an anode catalyst layer formed on one surface of the polymer electrolyte membrane; a cathode catalyst layer formed on the other surface of the polymer electrolyte membrane; and a pair of gas diffusion layers sandwiching the polymer electrolyte membrane, the anode catalyst layer and the cathode catalyst layer therebetween. In the membrane-electrode assembly for a fuel cell, a groove having a width of 0.1-0.3 mm is formed on a surface on the gas diffusion layer side in at least one of the anode catalyst layer and the cathode catalyst layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
