PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distal end of an ultrasonic endoscope in which the bulge of a balloon in the back surface direction of an ultrasonic scanning direction can be regulated surely without repeating the attaching and fixing work of the balloon to an insertion part distal end many times. SOLUTION: In the position where a gap 11 is caused from the outer surface of the balloon 20 in the state that the balloon 20 is not bulged on the back surface side of the ultrasonic scanning direction U of a distal end main body 2 constituting the insertion part distal end, a planar member 9 to which the outer surface of the balloon 20 is planarly abutted for regulating the swelling of the balloon 20 in the direction when the balloon 20 starts to expand to the back surface side of the ultrasonic scanning direction U is provided.
