PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exhibit function as a buffer after exposure to the maximum and to enlarge a length dimension of an image forming medium capable of performing treatment without generating unevenness of exposure as much as possible in an image forming device A in which a loop is formed on a part of paper P and is functioned as the buffer after exposure. SOLUTION: A conveying unit 11 for conveying the paper P conveyed out from there toward a development treatment part is provided in a conveying downstream side of an exposure engine 7 for performing scanning exposure on the paper P. When the paper P of predetermined length or longer is treated, a pair of clamping/conveying rollers 12 of the conveying unit 11 is stopped once to form the loop Pr on a part of the paper P and the loop is swelled into a storage space part S and is temporarily stored. In particular, in the case of the paper P having length near the treatable upper limit, until formation of the loop Pr is finished, its leading end reaches to an entrance of the development treatment part.
