The present invention refers to a lateral-flow test device comprising means for releasing a test buffer harboured by the test device such that a sample to be tested, preferably body fluid, is exposed to the test buffer. The invention also refers to a whole blood lateral-flow test device additionally comprising a lancet (13) and means for ejecting the lancet (14). Preferably, the analyte in the sample to be tested, e.g. whole blood, is an antibody or antigen. Furthermore, the invention refers to uses of said test devices.
