摘要 The invention relates to the automobile industry and can be used in transport means differential drives which are embodied in such a way that they enable wheels to be automatically lockable. The aim of said invention is to simplify the structural design, to reduce sizes and to increase the producibility, strength resistance and the efficiency of a self-locking differential. The inventive self-locking differential for a transport means comprises a driven body provided with half-axial elements, which are arranged therein coaxially to each other and whose external surfaces are provided with helical grooves of an opposite spiral direction, rolling bodies are embodied in the form of balls which fill in a chain manner at least one closed channel which is embodied in the driven body and a part of which are open in such a way that it makes it possible to deep the ball segments into the helical grooves. According to said invention, the longitudinal section of the closed channel is embodied in the form of a rectangle whose external corners are rounded, the cross-section of the branches thereof is equal to the ball diameter and the number of balls in the channel is odd.
