An emergency power supply device of a headlight for an automobile is provided to report visually and aurally a defect of the headlight by sensing a disconnecting state of a fuse. A pair of headlights(50L,50R) irradiate light to a front direction of an automobile when a user operates a headlight switch to form a closed circuit by supplying electric power to the headlights. A fuse(30) is positioned on a power supply path of the headlights in order to cut off the electric power according to a state of overvoltage. A voltage comparator(100) outputs a high comparison signal and a low comparison signal according to a voltage difference between a front end and a rear end of the fuse. A power transistor(110) is turned on or off according to the high and low comparison signals of the voltage comparator.
