A separable bar-type mobile communication terminal is provided to enable a user to make a telephone call even when a separated main body only is carried, thereby remarkably improving usage and portability of the terminal. A main body(10) consists of a keypad(11) for inputting signals of symbols or characters, a sending unit(12) for inputting a sound signal, an earjack(15) for connecting with an earphone, and a reception notifier(14) for notifying that a call is received. A sub body(20) is detachably combined with an upper part of the main body(10) by being independently configured from the main body, and consists of a display(22) for displaying a lot of video information and a receiving unit(21) for outputting the sound signal. An access unit(30) is disposed on a contact surface between the main body and the sub body in order to enable electrical accessing between the main body and the sub body.
