A mobile communication terminal for converting braille points into a voice is provided to take a picture of braille points through a camera, and to recognize the taken braille image to output the recognized image as a voice, thus the visually impaired can conveniently use the terminal. An input unit(110) selects a desired function for a user, or inputs information. A camera(170) takes a picture of braille points. A controller(140) reads a braille image taken by the camera, converts the read image into a character, and converts the character into a voice signal to output the signal. A voice processor(160) outputs the outputted voice signal through a speaker(SP). A display(120) displays a video signal under control of the controller.
