<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an apparatus for carbonizing waste, in which waste is carbonized by a heating system using a microwave and which has a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for carbonizing waste, in which the waste thrown in a main body is irradiated with the microwave generated by a microwave oscillator, heated and carbonized, is provided with: a discharge port arranged on the main body for discharging the pyrolysis gas-containing generated gas to be generated when waste is heated; an introduction pipe for introducing the generated gas discharged from the discharge port into a catalytic oxidation part; a supply pipe for supplying air from an air supply fan into the introduction pipe; a mixing part for mixing the generated gas discharged from the discharge port with the air from the supply pipe in the introduction pipe to produce a diluted gaseous mixture; and a flue arranged on the side of an outlet of the catalytic oxidation part for discharging the catalytically oxidized gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
