<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an overload of a transceiver on the occasion of a transceiver test. <P>SOLUTION: The testing apparatus (100) of a test transceiver (20) comprises a transmitter (130) for transmitting a signal in a first state, a receiver (140) for receiving a signal in a second state, and an electrical power coupler (120) for connecting the transmitter (130) to the receiver (140). The testing apparatus (100) further comprises an overload protector (160) connected between the power coupler (120) and the receiver (140) to reduce or maintain the signal intensity of the receiving signal of the receiver in accordance with a control signal (180).
