<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid valve having the short axial length and a high pressure fuel pump using this valve. <P>SOLUTION: A stopper 90 is superposedly installed in the axial direction on a fixed core 80 on the inner peripheral side of the fixed core 80. The stopper 90 is positioned in the axial direction to the fixed core 80 by being pushed in the axial direction against a step height 82 formed on an inner peripheral wall of the fixed core 80, and projects a little to the opposed part 76 side of a movable member 70 from the fixed core 80 side. When turning on current-carrying to a coil 88, an opposed part 76 of the movable member 70 is attracted to an attracting part 81 of the fixed core 80. The stopper 90 locks the opposed part 76 attracted to the attracting part 81 of the fixed core 80, and guides a rod 74 of the movable member 70 in the reciprocating direction. When a valve member 72 is seated on a valve seat 63, communication of a fuel gallery 204 with a pressurizing chamber 206 is cut off. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
