<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte and a lithium secondary battery which have excellent heat stability and have excellent lithium ion conductivity. <P>SOLUTION: In the lithium secondary battery which comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and the nonaqueous electrolyte, the nonaqueous electrolyte contains polyether-modified silicon oil expressed by one or more kinds of the following formulas (1)-(5), cyclic carbonate, and a solute. In formulas (1)-(5), k is each in the range of 1-9; l is an integer in the range of 0-3; m is an integer in the range of 0-1; n is a natural number in the range of 1-2; R is either of CH<SB>3</SB>or C<SB>6</SB>H<SB>5</SB>; and Z is either of CH<SB>3</SB>or C<SB>2</SB>H<SB>5</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
