<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical wavelength multiplex transmission system, capable of cost effectively realizing high quality optical wavelength multiplexing without the need for adding WDM filters or optical receivers or the like. <P>SOLUTION: An optical transmitter 2 converts a first frequency multiplex signal 11 received at a prescribed point into an optical signal 12 with a wavelength λ1, which is transmitted through an optical fiber 3 to an optical splitter 4. Furthermore, an optical transmitter 6 receiving a second frequency multiplex signal 14 received at another prescribed point converts the signal 14 into an optical signal 15 with a wavelength λ2, which is also transmitted to the optical splitter 4. The optical distributor 4 mixes the optical signals 12, 15 and transmits the mixed signal to an optical receiver 5 installed in each subscriber's home. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
