<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting method of tilting and a detecting device of tilting, capable of correctly specifying the attitude or the tilting of objects. <P>SOLUTION: The number of pixels between the two points 101a and 101b projected on a CCD 43 from a plane is increased or decreased, according to the distance between the plane and the CCD 43. Similarly, the number of pixels between the two points 101c and 101d projected on the CCD 43 from the plane is increased or decreased, according to the distance between the plane and the CCD 43. Tilting of the CCD 43 can be specified with respect to the plane, based on the ratio Wd/Dw of the two numbers of pixels. The attitude or the tilting of an object can be derived, according to orientation of the CCD 43.
