PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loop antenna in a small-sized wide band having a high gain and sharing polarized waves and a communication apparatus. SOLUTION: The loop antenna has a plane-shaped antenna conductor 11 having a band-shaped opening 12 at a central section and a feeder circuit 21 formed at one end of the antenna conductor 11, so as to be positioned on an extension in the longitudinal direction of the opening 12.
