PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress abrasion of an end part of a worm of an actuator, in an actuator provided with a worm driven by an electric motor so as to be rotated, and a worm wheel. SOLUTION: The actuator comprises: a casing 10; the electric motor 20; the worm 30a rotated along with rotation of an output shaft 21 of the electric motor 20; the worm wheel 30b arranged to be meshed with the worm 30a; a support part 11 supporting the end part 31 of the worm 30a when a force from the worm wheel 30b is applied to its end part 31 side along with the rotation of the worm 30a; and a grease retention part 12 retaining grease between a support part 21 of a case 20 and the end part 31 of the worm 30a. Since the grease is retained between the support part 21 and the end part 31 of the worm 30a, the abrasion of the end part of the worm 30a is suppressed even if the worm 30a is rotated for a long time.
