PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely position and fix a clincher without tools, even for a structure where a base member is covered with a base cover member. SOLUTION: In this stapler, a magazine guide 3, having a U-shaped section, is fixed along the longitudinal direction of the upper surface of a metal-made base member 1a, a staple storing magazine 6 pivots turnably to one end of the magazine guide 3, and at the other end side of the magazine guide 3, the clincher 24 is placed and fixed at a part, corresponding to a drive-out part 12 at the tip of the magazine guide 3. Both sidewall parts 23 and the clincher 24 are positioned by a positioning means 25 in the longitudinal direction of the magazine guide 3 and by a positioning means 28 in both side directions of the magazine guide 3.
