PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact detecting device capable of detecting a contacting person with small movement and providing high detection accuracy, with few misdetections. SOLUTION: The contact detecting device comprises a pressure-sensing means 14 and a calculating means 152 for calculating based on the output voltage of the pressure-sensing means 14 and outputting the calculated result. The pressure-sensing means 14 is mounted on a portion of the top surface or the balustrade 12 of a wall structure and the like to which the person touching may possibly touch. The pressure-sensing means 14 is accommodated by a mounting portion 13a and a moving portion 13c, which is deformed by bending of the moving portion 13c and the means 14 is deformed, when touched and outputs a voltage.
