PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable stroke measurement at an initial shutoff time corresponding to a stroke having every length without requiring a complicated mounting work, without generating deterioration of measurement accuracy, a malfunction and a measurement error, and without being influenced by sunshine or weather. SOLUTION: This system is equipped with a high speed camera 10 for reading a two-dimensional image, an illumination device 30 for irradiating a measuring object instrument with uniform light having high brightness, and an image processing display device 20 for converting image data into digital data and performing data processing and result display. A movable marker 201 having a different color or reflectivity from the periphery is provided on a movable part 103 of a switching device 100, and a fixed marker 301 is provided near a moving range of the movable marker 201 on a fixed part 104. When driving the switching device 100, the movable marker 201 and the fixed marker 301 are photographed by the high speed camera 10, and the stroke is calculated based on a position change of the movable marker 201 to the fixed marker 301 by the image processing display device 20.
