PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle detection device mainly used for detecting a rotation angle of an automobile steering or the like, capable of detecting surely the rotation angle with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: Eaves 18C projecting inward and covering the periphery of the inner circumference of a rotator 1 are provided over a through hole 18A of an upper case 18, and since intrusion of water or dust from above into the upper case 18 can be prevented by the eaves 18C, this rotation angle detection device capable of detecting surely the rotation angle with the simple constitution can be acquired.
