RECEIVE AND TRANSMISSION FOR POWER SAVING IN WIRELESS PERSONAL AREA NETWORK

A data receiving/transmitting method for saving power in a wireless personal area network is provided to minimize power consumption of a device by adjusting a beacon interval and a channel time with certain register information and beacon information. A data receiving/transmitting method for saving power in a wireless personal area network includes the steps of: determining an awake beacon cycle by power management setting, and setting a power management related register; waking right before starting beacon transmission based on a wake beacon interval register, and checking whether the current received beacon is identical with a beacon preset in a next wake beacon number register(103); checking an address of destination of CTA(Channel Time Allocation) if the beacons are identical with each other in the previous step, and receiving a data frame if the address corresponds to a channel time for receiving data(105,106); and checking an address of a starting point of the CTA, checking data queue information register information if the address corresponds to the channel time for receiving data, and transmitting the data frame during the CTA if an effective transmission frame exists(107,108,109,110).
