An electric double-layer capacitor (10) includes an upper metallic case (13) that has a flat surface portion (13b) and a wall portion (13a) projecting from all circumferential edges of the flat surface portion (13b), a lower metallic case (14) that has a flat surface portion (14b) that is larger in size than the upper metallic case (13) and a wall portion (14a) projecting from all circumferential edges of the flat surface portion (14b), and an insulating gasket (18). The wall portions (13a, 14a) with which the gasket (18) of the electric double-layer capacitor (10) is in contact are provided with protrusions (13c, 14c) formed all over circumferential directions of the wall portions (13a, 14a), respectively. Preferably, when the upper metallic case (13) is set on the lower metallic case (14) though the gasket (18), the protrusion (14c) of the lower metallic case is formed at a higher position than that of the protrusion (13c) of the upper metallic case (13). |
