A method and a system for preventing trespass of thieves by using electronic products are provided to make the thieves misunderstand that persons exist in a room, by operating the electronic products at random time. A method for preventing trespass of thieves by using electronic products is composed of steps for generating the random starting time and random finishing time if a signal for activating an anti-theft operation mode is supplied from an input unit(S207,S209); turning on power of the electronic product at the random starting time by counting the time with a timer and turning off the power of the electronic product at the random finishing time(S211,S213,S219); completely turning off the power of the electronic product at the pre-set final time with repeatedly executing the first and second steps(S221,S223); and outputting a window enabling a user to choose whether to activate the anti-theft operation mode or not, on an on-screen display if an anti-theft signal is supplied from the input unit(S203,S205). |
