<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, a process cartridge, and a shipping method for process cartridge that reduce image defects generated in the image forming apparatus having a process cartridge loaded in and unloaded from an image forming apparatus body and variation in image quality caused by the process cartridge in use. <P>SOLUTION: The process cartridge 16 is loaded in and unloaded from the image forming apparatus body 12 of the image forming apparatus 10.
