<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source with a discharging tube which emits light by discharging in a thin gas, and its manufacturing method, wherein, while providing a high luminance and a uniform luminance, a reliability is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The light source is composed of a structure in which an electrode 33 projected out of an glass tube end part of a discharging tube, and a power supplying wiring 37 are connected by caulking a metal plate 60A. A plurality of the above discharging tubes are arranged in parallel, and a plurality of caulking pieces 61a, 62A are formed to caulk each electrode 33 on the above metal plate 60A, and these caulking pieces 61A, 62A are positioned so as to correspond to the predetermined positions of the discharging tubes 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
