<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To linearly variably control the flow of engine cooling water by a weak drive force without affecting the flow of the cooling water. <P>SOLUTION: This water pump comprises a housing 5 having a suction port 8 and a discharge port 9, a rotating shaft 13 supported on a body 14 through a bearing 3, and an impeller 6 fitted to one end of the rotating shaft 13.
