IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM, IMAGE CORRECTION APPARATUS, IMAGE OUTPUT APPARATUS, AND FADING CORRECTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the effect of fading by digitizing and printing data of part of an image together with the image and by restoring and referring to the digitized data regarding the image faded after the printing.

SOLUTION: An image processing system 1 includes an image output apparatus 2 and an image correction apparatus 3. The image output apparatus 2 includes: an extract means 74 for extracting an image (B) in a part of a region of a received multicolor image (A); a coding means 76 for coding data of the extracted image (B); and a print means 78 for printing the acquired image (A) and the coded data on a medium. The image correction apparatus 3 includes: a restoration means 84 for decoding the data read from the printed medium to restore the image (B); a searching means 82 for searching the region of the image (B) from the image (A) read from the medium; a fading detection means 86 for detecting the degree of the fading of the region; and a correction means 88 for correcting the fading caused in the image (A).
