<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain operation feeling for a pedal body in a favorable condition in a usual time, and to easily and effectively prevent a pedaling part from being retreated when a vehicle collides so as to reduce a load acting on a driver's foot. <P>SOLUTION: This support structure for an operation pedal is provided with: a pedal bracket 3 attached to a dash panel and extended to a rear side of a vehicle; and a pedal body 2 swingably supported via a pedal support shaft (the first support shaft) 13 provided in the pedal bracket 3 and extended along a vehicular width direction. The pedal bracket 3 is provided with a support hole 14 for the pedal support shaft 13, and is also provided with: an opening part 19 allowing downward motion of the pedal support shaft 13 in its under side; and a support part 20 for supporting the pedal support shaft 13 from an under side in an upper end part of the opening part 19, and a coming-off means is provided to make the pedal support shaft 13 come off to a downside of the support hole 14, by deforming the support part 20, when the vehicle collides. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
