PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable electronic document management apparatus that can monitor the number of time stamps necessary to manage electronic documents. SOLUTION: The electronic document management apparatus 100, which manages a plurality of electronic documents saved with time stamps attached, comprises a client setting storage part 118 for storing the number of remaining time stamps currently issuable from a time stamping authority, and a remaining number monitoring part 136 for detecting a shortage of the remaining number according to the number of necessary time stamps.
