PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical waveguide provided with an electric power supply means by a resin layer by forming the resin layer without using a substrate, and to provide the inexpensive optical waveguide manufactured by it. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the inexpensive optical waveguide comprises sucking and adhering a polymer film 12 being a clad layer on a fixing fixture 10, manufacturing a two-layer polymer film 18 by curing to uniformly apply a core layer 14 and a polymer resin thereon, next, processing an arrangement part 30 arranging a core part 14A and a electricity conducting line 32 by being cut with a dicing saw provided with a multi-blade 20, and next, arranging the electricity conducting part 32 on the arrangement part 30. Next, the inexpensive optical waveguide provided with the electric power supply means is manufactured by curing to fill the recess of the cut core layer 14 with the polymer resin.
