PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mutually view images contained in imaging apparatuses without paying attention to a network environment. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises a storage means in which image data are stored, a communication means which is connected to a network for communication with external devices, an access means for accessing to the external device, an authentication means for authenticating access from the external devices, an external image data acquiring means for acquiring the image data from the external device based on the authenticating result by the authentication means, and a display mode control means for controlling to display at least one of the stored image data and the image data acquired by the external image data acquiring means.
