PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for making a paste for use in a corrugate machine, whereby measurement of paste viscosity at the Stein Hall paste-making method using a high-viscosity carrier, can continuously and stably be operated, together with enabling the apparatus to make a paste by the Stein Hall method and also by a no carrier method. SOLUTION: The paste-making apparatus 10 is equipped with a viscosity detector 19 and also a washing system to wash the detector 19 with hot water or water to be supplied or supplied to the paste-making apparatus 10 for use in paste-making, keeping the detector always a clean state and enabling it to make measurement accurately. When the detector 19 is installed in a paste-making tank 11 to measure directly the viscosity in the tank 11 without time lag, a washing nozzle 20a jetting water or hot water directionally to a detection end 19a of the detector 19 is attached for washing as a washing means. As another example, the detection end 19a of the detector 19 is placed for washing in a passage of water falling from a hot water-supplying device for paste-making. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
