PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed type constant velocity universal joint having a structure of easily incorporating an inner ring into a cage without impairing the function of the joint. SOLUTION: The fixed type constant velocity universal joint comprises: an outer ring having a plurality of track grooves formed in the inner spherical face at circumferentially equal spaces along the axial direction as tending to the opening end, an inner ring 28 having a plurality of track grooves 27 paired with the track grooves of the outer ring and formed in an outer spherical face 26 at circumferentially equally spaces along the axial direction; a plurality of balls laid between each of the track grooves of the outer ring and each of the track grooves 27 of the inner ring 28 for transmitting torque; and a cage laid between the inner spherical face of the outer ring and the outer spherical face 26 of the inner ring 28 for holding the balls. The outer spherical face 26 of the inner ring 28 is cut off at its outer ring opening end side and a boundary site 34 between a cut-off portion 33 and the outer spherical face 26 is formed into R-shape.
