PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plunger type fixing device for stably fixing a pair of members while allowing easy and reliable fixing work. SOLUTION: The plunger type fixing device 10 comprises a cylinder body 30 to be fixed to one of the pair of members, a lock pin 50 slidably arranged in the cylinder body 30 and adapted to be inserted/removed into/from the other member, a spring 60 for energizing the lock pin 50, and a lever 70 turnably connected to a base end 53 of the lock pin 50. At a front end 71 of the lever 70, a cam face 74 is formed which consists of a first flat portion 74a located nearest a supporting shaft 61, an angle portion 74b, a back face portion 74c, and a second flat portion 74d. At the leading edge of the first flat portion 74a and at the trailing edge of the second flat portion 74d, a fist protruded portion 76 and a second protruded portion 77 are formed, respectively, for restricting the turn of the lever 70 in engagement with the cylinder body 30.
