A zoom lens includes, in the following order from an object side: a first lens group including negative refractive power; a second lens group including negative refractive power; and a third lens group. At least the second and third lens group are movable along an optical axis to perform a zooming action. The second lens group is movable in a direction orthogonal to the optical axis to shift an image in a direction orthogonal to the optical axis.
