A support for installations in the area of domestic service technology and industry is provided to obtain a support having plural coupling possibilities while having relatively good static characteristics. The support for installations(11) includes a first support band(12) and a second support band(16). The first support band(12) and the second support band(16) are connected by two rods(21) through a switch area(22) thereof. The first support band(12) and the second support band(16) are formed by two vertical profiles(13,17), respectively. The vertical profiles(13,17) of the support bands(12,16) are connected by connection profiles(14,18). The switch area(22) of the rod(21) is connected to the vertical profiles(13,17). The vertical extension portions of the connection profiles(14,18) are arranged to cross the vertical extension portions of the vertical profiles(13,17).
