<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential transmission connector and a differential transmission connector for mounting a base plate wherein electric wires having large diameters are arranged without interfering with each other, and cross-talk is sharply reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The differential transmission connector has a plurality of paired differential transmission contacts 16a, 16b held on an insulation housing, and grounding contacts 16c corresponding to respective differential transmission contacts. The differential transmission contacts 16a, 16b and the grounding contacts 16c are arrayed in two rows at a fitting part and a wire connection part. The first contacts 16a, constituting one side of the paired differential transmission contacts 16a, 16b, are arranged on the first row, and the second contacts 16b constituting the other side are arranged on the second row.
