<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus with a plurality of functions for solving a problem caused by provision of the functions and maximally utilizing each function. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes at least one of a copying function, a facsimile function, and a printer function. The image forming apparatus in this case includes: a determining means for determining an expansion sequence and an expansion position of a series of image data by a plurality of pages on an image data storage area on the basis of characteristics at acquisition of image data different from functions in addition to longitudinal or lateral writing of an original in order to form image data by two pages or four pages onto one medium on which an image is to be formed; and an image forming means that reduces the image data by two pages or four pages on the basis of a result of the determination by the determining means, expands reduced image data onto the image data storage area by one page, and forms an image based on the image data by two pages or four pages expanded on the image data storage area by one page onto one medium on which the image is to be formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
