<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device 100 capable of enhancing reliability by extending a period until a liquid crystal 50 is deteriorated. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal device 100 having a pair of substrates 10 and 20, the liquid crystal 50 disposed between the pair of substrates 10 and 20 and a seal 52 disposed on the periphery of the liquid crystal 50, a circulation flow path 60 of the liquid crystal 50 is provided on the outer side of an inner peripheral edge of the seal 52 so that the liquid crystal 50 generates a convective current through the circulation flow path 60.
