METHOD FOR PRODUCING COLLAGEN FIBER USING ELECTROSPINNING AND COLLAGEN FIBER PRODUCED BY THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collagen fiber having uniform fiber diameter in the order ofμm and to provide a method for producing the collagen fiber, in which electrospinning is applied.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the collagen fiber comprises preparing a collagen solution containing a collagen, water and hexafluoroisopropanol, applying high voltage to the collagen solution and fiberizing the collagen by electrospinning. The collagen fiber obtained by the method has an uniform average fiber diameter of about 5μm, and has an extremely smooth surface.
