<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain operation feeling for a pedal body in a favorable condition in a usual time, and to easily and effectively prevent a pedaling part from being retreated when a vehicle collides so as to reduce a load acting on a driver's foot. <P>SOLUTION: This support structure for an operation pedal is provided with: the pedal body 2 supported swingably via the first support shaft 13 provided in a pedal bracket 3; and a turning lever 5 which is supported swingably via the second support shaft 17 provided in the pedal bracket 3, is turn-displaced around the second support shaft 17 as a fulcrum by interfering with a vehicle body side member 33 when the vehicle collides, and pushes the first support shaft 13 downwards. A fragile part 20 is provided in a support part of the first support shaft 13 provided in the pedal bracket 3, to regulate the downward motion of the first support shaft 13 in the usual time and to allow the coming-off of the first support shaft 13 in response to the turn displacement of the turning lever 5, when the vehicle collides, and the pedal body 2 is separated from the pedal bracket 3 just after the first support shaft 13 comes off from the support part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
