SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR OPERATION PEDAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain operation feeling for a pedal body in a favorable condition in a usual time, and to quickly move a pedaling part to a front side of a vehicle when the vehicle collides so as to reduce effectively a load acting on a driver's foot.

SOLUTION: This support structure for an operation pedal is provided with a turning lever 5 turn-displaced around the second support shaft 24 as a fulcrum by interfering with a vehicle body side member 36 when the vehicle collides. The turning lever 5 is provided with: a releasing push part A for releasing a support condition of the first support shaft 16 by pushing the first support shaft 16 that is a swing fulcrum for the pedal body 2, in response to the turn displacement when the vehicle collides; and a moving push part B for pushing the first support shaft 16 with the released support part or an upper part of the pedal body 2 to move the first support shaft 16 toward a rear side of the vehicle. A distance from the second support shaft 24 to the moving push part B is set therein at a larger value than a distance from the second support shaft 24 to the releasing push part A.
