SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR OPERATION PEDAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain operation feeling for a pedal body in a favorable condition in a usual time, and to easily and effectively prevent a pedaling part from being retreated when a vehicle collides so as to reduce a load acting on a driver's foot.

SOLUTION: This support structure for an operation pedal is provided with: a pedal bracket 3 attached to a dash panel 1 and extended to a rear side of a vehicle; a pedal body 2 swingably supported via the first support shaft 13 provided in the pedal bracket 3 and extended along a vehicular width direction; and a turning lever 5 which is supported swingably via the second support shaft 17 provided in the pedal bracket 3 and extended along the vehicular width direction, is turn-displaced around the second support shaft 17 as a fulcrum by interfering with a vehicle body side member 33 when the vehicle collides, and pushes the first support shaft 13 downwards. The turning lever 5 is provided integrally with a pushing means 28a for pushing an upper part of the pedal body 2 toward a rear side of the vehicle after the first support shaft 13 comes off.
