PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire feeding apparatus capable of stably feeding a wire to a feeding roller without slipping even if the wire is an extra fine wire. SOLUTION: A pulse motor 53 for rotating a spool 52 and a wire guide 54 are installed on a fixed first supporting body 41, while feeding rollers 61 are installed on a second supporting body 42 that moves relatively to a lead frame 1 which is a wire feeding target. A wire 2 delivered from the rotating spool 52 is supplied to the wire guide 54 in a tensionless state in which the wire sags by gravity. The wire is then fed from the wire guide 54 to the feeding rollers 61 directly below, held between the feeding rollers 61 and sent downward.
